Why is it so hard to admit we've been wrong?
In my opinion, there's more than one right answer to this question. First of all, people don't really like the embarrassment, that comes with being wrong after feeling absolutely certain about their answer. For example, the vast majority of people will be embarrassed while saying that they were wrong after trying to admit that their answer was right, or even they will be too embarrassed to admit they were wrong this whole time, and will try to convince that they were right even after learning the right answer. Another reply to the given question is simply the opposite of being embarrassed. What I mean by that, is that wide range of people will be trying to prove that they are right, even if they know that their answer or any kind of thought that they're trying to prove is wrong, because all they care about is how good their statement sounds, or how cool they seem when telling the given answer.
"For example, the vast majority of people will be embarrassed while saying that they were wrong after trying to admit that their answer was right, or even they will be too embarrassed to admit they were wrong this whole time, and will try to convince that they were right even after learning the right answer. " - Is there any new idea in this looong sentence compared to the previous one?
