Explosions over Kyiv

Currently, Kyiv's inhabitants are experiencing extreme difficulties regarding basic living resources. To date, conflict between Russia and Ukraine strongly affected our today's world, showing human cruelty to immoderate extent (not for the first time in history), but the current situation is way harsher for people of Kyiv and Ukraine than it ever was - "This is genocide, there's no other words." After last bombing mostly centered around the capital of Ukraine, over 270,000 apartments are left with no electricity, and around 40% of "capital's consumers" have no access to water. Furious Kyiv Mayor - Vitaliy Klitschko, lays charges against Russia - "he has accused Russia of genocide and wanting to freeze people this winter". Even though there is no legal consensus on whether Russia is committing genocide in Ukraine, the fact that humanity still has to experience such horrible acts of violence and apathy every day is truly nauseating. http...

Chess Cheating Scandal

During a chess tournament that happened not so long ago, Magnus's Carlsen and Hans's Moke Niemann game resulted in Magnus's Carlsen loss. Outraged 31-year-old left the tournament in full belief of his opponent cheating. A month before the tournament, these two players found themselves playing chess on sandy bitches of Miami. According to Magnus Carlsen both in the match on the beach and in the previous games on lately popular chess internet platform - "chess.com", Niemann didn't show a skill level required to beat Carlsen in a chess competition. Niemann filed a 100 million dollar federal lawsuit against Carlsen, chess.com and other chess players for "slander, libel and colluding to blacklist him", but according to Craig Reiser, Carlsen’s lawyer it's "nothing more than an attempt to deflect blame onto others". There is no clear evidence that Niemann cheated on the highly anticipated chess tournament, but the 19-year-old Ameri...

Evin prison fire

Recently there was a huge disaster at Iran's Evin prison. In the huge panic amongst the public surrounding the area of the prison, there were some people who managed to catch this disaster on video. In these videos there were sounds of gunshots, explosions and people chanting "death to the dictator" from outside the prison that could be heard. From the sources inside the Evin prison, it has been disclosed to the public that four prisoners have died, and 61 prisoners have been injured. The reason behind this incident was a riot in a wing of the prison housing petty criminals, but it's not the first incident that happened in Iran in the last couple of weeks - "Iran has been gripped for weeks by anti-government protests". According to Tehran's governor, the situation is under control at the moment, but it's probably not the last action connected to anti-government protests in Iran. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-63271817

New way of storing data

Although Scientists have been storing digital data in DNA since 2012, recently it's gotten more popular as a subject of conversation around the public, and in the future, it's probably going to be the main way of storing any kind of information. But don't worry, digital data doesn't store "the code from a human genome, nor does it come from any animal or virus". According to Dina Zielinski, a senior scientist in human genomics at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, the way of storing the digital data on DNA will last much longer than any common hard drive that the vast majority of humanity currently uses. Not only The digital DNA is faster at transferring information and requires less energy to store, it's also opening the doors for since regarding the study of our ancestors and long extinct species in general. To sum up, all the scientists currently working on this particular subject will definitely create a huge milestone t...
