Diehard football fans

Two French football fans decided to travel for World Cup placed in Qatar this year a little bit differently. Mehdi Balamissa and Gabriel Martin came to the conclusion that the best way to get to Qatar for the World Cup was on bikes. After their trip from France to Italy, this much harder challenge seemed possible, so as they are both self-employed, they decided to block off three months of their time and come to Qatar. While cycling about 115 km a day with appropriate rest days, the route totalled in about 7000 km. The pair crossed a total of 13 different countries. As can be expected, they came up against some obstacles, but as Martin stated - "In this kind of trip, you have to be really flexible. In fact, the main part of the trip is to be flexible and to just adapt to every situation the best you can. I think we did well, actually. ". In the last bit of this trip, after almost 3 months of solitude, they were joined by French and Qatari cyclists, as well as greeted by French locals at the finish line. They came all this way to watch their national team win the World Cup, and as they stated they don't take any kind of defeat into consideration - "We wouldn’t have come on our bikes otherwise".
